Between ten at night and five in the morning, motorway traffic drops and journey times become predictable to within ten minutes. On a six-hundred-kilometre link that often means an hour saved compared with a midday departure.
A driver taking a night departure prepares for it: rest beforehand, closer breaks, and never two consecutive nights on the same rotation. That is the condition for night driving to stay safer than daytime driving, not less.
The price does not change. This is where we differ from the meter, which applies a statutory night surcharge. The quoted price is what you pay, whether it is two in the afternoon or three in the morning.
